Danica Patrick: First Woman in Daytona 500 

Check out one of the most important women in the world of powersports!

On February 17, 2013, the famous Daytona 500 was held,  the winner was none other than Danica Patrick – in her Chevrolet SS #10 sponsored by GoDaddy.com.

Patrick is the first woman to win the Daytona 500, where both men and women participate annually.

Patrick has previously excelled in other races after starting in 2010 to compete in the NASCAR International Series. In addition to being the first woman to win the Daytona 500, she was also the first woman to win the 2008 IndyCar Series held in Japan.

Thanks to the accomplishments of inspirational women like Danica Patrick, women are not only showing confidence in this type of sport but also opening themselves up to the opportunity to try this type of sport for fun and on a professional level.
