Difference Between the Fuel of Formula 1 and a Regular Car

How much do you know about Formula 1 cars?

At the beginning of Formula 1, they used chemical elements such as alcohol, benzene and jet fuel. Today a fuel very similar to the one we use for our cars is used. In fact, the primitive F1’s fuel mix was so powerful that the vehicles’ engines had to be disassembled and refined with ordinary fuel after each race to avoid wear and tear.

Currently, Formula 1 seeks innovation by creating engines that prioritize its durability and reliability. For this, each team develops its own fuel, including additives that keep the moving parts of the engine clean, in order to lengthen and improve the quality of its life.
